“It Ain’t a Shotgun Wedding if You’re 60”
Still looking for your Boaz? Or longing for those sweet early months of married life? (Remember Boaz from the Old Testament? He was Ruth’s late-in-life husband… her “kinsman-redeemer” after a long-long wait for “Mr. Right!” Their story can be found in Ruth 4: 1-12. )
It can happen… I met my Boaz at age 60. I knew the second I met him. But God knew before I did.
I am continually surprised by marriage.
~ It’s good!
~ It’s scary!
~ It’s frustrating!
~ Did I mention it’s good?
~ And nothing like I thought it would be?

I married for the first and only time at age 60. I’m not a unicorn; I just made some (OK, lots of) mistakes, and time got away from me.
After living a primarily secular life and identifying as “Christian” because I’m not Jewish, my background mostly resembles that of the Woman at the Well (John 4: 1-42) rather than Ruth.
But God was persistent. After 39 years wandering in the desert, I finally heard God knocking and answered the door. (Matthew 7:7 – Revelation 3:20)
“It Ain’t a Shotgun Wedding if You’re 60″ is the first in the “God Did Not Forget You” book series. It’s a collection of humorous, nostalgic tales about life and love in those early stages of married life. Whether you’re married or not, you’ll see yourself in our adventures.

Laugh and shed a few tears with my husband Mark and me, along with our growing crew of critters and grand-kids.
God was our matchmaker.
God did not forget me.
And He has not forgotten you either..
